2006-08-04 Oh upon this tidal wave Stochastically speaking, the garden is overbought. We are reaching zero hour, the zenith, that which is both the maximus and the minimus at once (which is, according to Nicholas Cusanus, oh holy mind fuck, that which there can be nothing larger than - and this is the definition for both, for the minimus being the smallest, a discrete amount which cannot, by definition, be any larger than it is;) it is time to sell everything (buy on rumour, sell on news, or so they say, because the news is never as good as we want it to be, is it? There is war in the Middle East...), for we are headed for a crash, but it will be brilliant and bear the fruit of our overextended capital, buried, as it was, into featureless earth only months ago, to continue this metaphor mishmash just a little longer. But back to earth for a moment. And a thousand pardons, for I am about to meet my oh so precious niece and I am a little excited about it. I guess I know a little more now than when my nephew was born five years past, and though I am probably more self-absorbed, more self-interested than ever before, I am also more willing to feel the ups and downs, and that has made all the difference in the world, because And tonight is momentous, for we will finally act on a plan hatched and cross-hatched weeks, months, oh, even years ago - we are watching The Big Lebowski and going bowling and drinking white Russians. We will spew our favourite lines of dialogue and beat up nihilists, because, well, sometimes there's a man...sometimes, there's a man...
